Total Transformation: Habit Change

Let's just be honest with each other. You really don't have the time or energy to think about your actions. Maybe that's just me (and every other mama or stressed out, busy person out there), but thinking before we act is not our strong suit. I don't even really have time to have thoughts anymore, at least, not thoughts that I'm aware I'm actually having.

This, my friends, is why I have to trust that I'm creating and have healthy habits and lasting behaviors under my belt. I need them to just happen, to simply be a part of my everyday routine, and that way I know I won't disintegrate into a pile of hot mess by the end of the day (or if I'm lucky, the end of the week).

The third and final aspect of the 90-Day Program is all about creating habits that turn into behaviors that last. It's not about doing a cleanse for a couple of weeks that makes you feel great, then going back to your old ways, so you can slowly but surely feel like crap again (then finding yourself at a happy hour with girlfriends looking at old pics of yourself saying, "Damn, I looked good. Look at my skin, I was glowing...or maybe that's sweat? I remember I used to have so much energy. I was fun and spunky, wasn't I spunky??")

I promise you can find the "real you" again. He or she is in that body of yours and deserves to resurface. The world deserves a better you, honestly, because if you've been a huge Debbie Downer, you're not doing anyone any favors. Mmkay? We can hug it out later when you realize I'm right.

The way you are going to create behaviors that last is by making small, simple changes. I encourage my clients to create two (maybe three) action steps each week. You focus your energy on those two things, which means it's not overwhelming and is easy to implement. If you love it and it makes you feel good, you don't need anyone telling you "you should do this because it's good for you." You feel good! That is the only thing you need to convince yourself this is going to become your new normal.

Making sure there is one bigger change or two smaller changes at a time is essential, and you will fail if you attempt to change or adopt several different routines or habits in your life at the same time. That's why diets and detoxes are temporary. It's several hard core changes all at once, and we can only do that successfully for a short stint, knowing there's a light at the end of the tunnel (ie, my normal routine that I'm comfortable with). See how that works?

This is why you want a healthy normal routine that you're comfortable with! It changes everything, from your physical body to your mental and emotional well-being. Feel free to contact me anytime if you or someone you know/love would like to know if this program is the right fit!

Here's to lasting healthy behaviors that become your new normal!
